About rpm design factory

rpm is the creative space of John Politowski. It was conceived almost ten years ago as an outlet to make flyers for night club events, and eventually evolved into web development and 3d graphics. This is actually version 7 of rpm.

Even though I have been working under the rpm name for almost a decade, only in the last few years have I been working as a full time designer at various design firms and advertising agencies. This is where I was first exposed to cascading style sheets (CSS) and also where I was put in the presence of designers, art directors and creative directors more talented and experienced than myself. Both of these elements through pure osmosis have allowed me to progress farther as a designer and a developer than I ever could have on my own. I am currently happily working at an advertising agency in Philadelphia, with a group of talented and fun people.

In addition to photoshop,  illustrator and 3d graphic skills, I also enjoy working with video, flash and actionscripting. I am a newly turned advocate of xhtml and css and I have fully embraced it with both arms. My newest endeavor is picking up some back end programming, starting with php. As time passes I seem to enjoy coding more and more, so who knows where the next few years will take me.

I currently admin three web sites:

rpm design factory – my design site
liquid syntax – a place for me to host images and experiment
cho-tabetai – my food blog, a place for recipes and restaurant reviews.

I am always interested in taking on freelance work, feel free to pop over to the contact page and submit the contact form.

If you live to eat as I do, please stop by cho-tabetai and leave a comment. I would love to
hear from you.

~John
